Product

Are your products vegan?

Yes! We are obsessed with coconuts, and everything we make is plant-based! We are certified by the vegan society.

We make our yoghurts by blending coconut milk and coconut water and fermenting with live cultures for over 6 hours. This is a traditional fermentation technique, the same as used to make yoghurt from dairy milk. Blending in the coconut water gives our yoghurts a natural sweetness, meaning we never add sugar to them.

Because our products are made with such a high proportion of coconut milk and water, we do not need to use heavy stabilisers. Coconut doesn’t set the same way as milk does, so we add a small amount of natural starches such as corn flour (the same you would have in your kitchen cupboard) and fruit pectin to enhance the creamy texture of the coconut. We also use guar gum in our gut health yoghurt and our fruit flavoured yoghurts; this is a flour that comes from guar beans. It has a thickening effect and is used widely in products like jams and yoghurts.

Tropical as they are, our coconut-based products don’t take kindly to being frozen! Coconuts are sensitive (we handle them with love and care) and because we don’t use heavy stabilisers in our recipes, texture upon defrosting is sadly not the dreamy, creamy experience we know you love. However, we have one trick to suggest: if you do freeze our yoghurts, we recommend eating them while still frozen as fro-yo!

We ferment our coconut yoghurts the traditional way, like any other yoghurt, which means they all contain live cultures. Just which and how many depends on the recipe.

Our signature Natural recipe plus our Protein and Vanilla recipes contain four strains of live bacteria: S. thermophilus + L. bulgaricus, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis.

Our Gut Health and fruit yoghurts contain billions of gut-loving bacteria of the Bifido strain, on top of the ones present in our other yogs, resulting in billions of live cultures.

Our Gut Health yoghurt, our Coconut Yoghurt & Granola pot, and our fabulously fruity Raspberry, Mango & Passion Fruit yoghurts are fortified with Vitamins D, B6, B12 and Calcium.

Our signature Natural Yoghurt has a slightly thicker and creamier texture compared to our Gut Health Yoghurt, as our Natural recipe uses a slightly higher amount of coconut milk. Both are traditionally fermented with live cultures; our Gut Health has billions of additional live cultures added, and is fortified with Vitamins D, B6, B12 and Calcium for added immunity support. Both are delicious, even if we do say so ourselves.

Both yoghurts are made with the finest hand-picked coconuts, naturally low in sugar and traditionally fermented with live cultures. Our Natural recipe is thick, creamy and slightly sweeter with a delicate coconut taste. Our Protein yoghurt combines coconuts, almonds and soya to boost the protein content each 175g serving of Protein yoghurt contains 10g of protein. If you prefer a slightly tangy yoghurt with some subtle vanilla notes, then our protein yoghurt will feel nicely at home in your breakfast bowl.

No! We never use palm oil.

Our products are rich in coconut, and some of them are fortified with vitamins, which some young children might be sensitive to and find difficult to digest, so we don’t recommend it for children under 36 months.

Our Strawberry & Banana pouches are rich in coconut and some young children might find it difficult to digest. We also fortify them with vitamin D, which is not advised for babies and young children

We use fruit pectin in our yoghurts so they set with a lovely texture. It comes from the peel of citrus fruits like Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Orange, Grapefruit, Bergamot.

Abso-creamy-lutely. All our delicious products are GM free.

Our heavenly dark Choc Pots can be stored at room temperature but pop them in the fridge for a few hours before you eat them, as they’re at their most smooth and delicious when chilled.

All our yoghurts and desserts (except for our Choc Pots) need to be kept chilled. They are made with Coconut milk and we do not use heavy stabilisers, so the texture can be affected if not kept chilled.

Yes.

Yes – because our yoghurts are pasteurised, they are safe to consume when pregnant or breastfeeding.

We are not only obsessed with coconuts because they taste so ridiculously good. They’re jam-packed with essential minerals like magnesium and potassium, electrolytes, and healthy fats. All that and delicious too – no wonder our pots are so dreamy.

Where to buy

Where can I buy your products in the UK?

Dietary

Are your products suitable for people with nut allergies?

The only product we make that contains nuts as an ingredient is our Protein yoghurt, which contains almonds. However, please note that some of our other products are produced on lines that also handle nuts (almond, pistachio and hazelnut; none handle peanuts). This is always stated on the back of the pack. All our production sites are of the highest GFSI [Global Food Safety Initiative] standards. Where lines handle nuts, we have strict segregation, cleaning and validation procedures in place to ensure there is no allergen cross contamination, other than the ingredients declared on each pack.

Please refer to each product for relevant allergen information which is clearly stated on the label with the ingredients and nutritional information.

We make our products in several different sites. Most are made in sites that exclusively make dairy-free products. Others are produced on lines that also handle dairy products. This is always stated on the back of the pack. All our production sites are of the highest GFSI [Global Food Safety Initiative] standards. Where lines handle dairy, we have strict segregation, cleaning and validation procedures in place to ensure there is no allergen cross contamination, other than the ingredients declared on each pack.

Please refer to each product for relevant allergen information which is clearly stated on the label with the ingredients and nutritional information.

The only product we make that contains gluten is our Coconut yoghurt & granola pot. The rest of our delicious pots are gluten-free.

Great news, you can still enjoy our signature Natural Coconut Yoghurt as part of a low FODMAP diet. With one whole coconut in every pot, it’s made of almost 90% Coconut, which is naturally a low FODMAP ingredient, and it contains no added sugar.

Magical coconuts are rich in healthy fats, mainly medium-chain fatty acids. The body breaks these fats down faster to use them as energy. Better still, all our products are cholesterol-free.

Ethical

Where do you source your coconuts from?

Our coconuts are mainly sourced from Sri Lanka, a lush island with a rich history of sustainable coconut growing. All our suppliers are SEDEX members and meet strict ethical standards, so you can enjoy our creamy, dreamy pots worry-free. We never use monkeys to harvest our coconuts (or for anything else).

There is no monkey business in our coconut harvesting; all our coconuts are hand-picked. Our farmers harvest the coconuts using long harvesting knives and hooks. All our coconut suppliers are audited against ethical standards and are members of SEDEX to ensure there are no such practices.

We’re committed to the highest standards of ethical sourcing, manufacturing and trading and follow a zero-tolerance policy to forced and child labour, human trafficking and corruption. All our suppliers are members of the SEDEX ethical supply-chain auditing database and are audited by independent bodies.

Packaging

Why did you remove the plastic lids from your yoghurts?

We are proud to have led the way, as the first yoghurt brand in the UK to remove lids from our pots! With lots of other brands following suit, this represents a big positive impact on the environment.

Since we ditched our plastic lids back in 2022, we have saved a LOT of plastic waste. If you’re looking for a sustainable solution, we love using these re-useable lids to keep our yoghurts nice and fresh once opened

We also occasionally give reusable lids away to our super fans so please sign up to our email newsletter and follow us on Instagram to be the first to know!

Most of our packaging is widely recycled. For our yoghurts and desserts, make sure you separate the card, foil and plastic and give your pot a little rinse before you pop it in your recycling bins. Our Strawberry & Banana Smoothie is our only product that isn’t currently recyclable with your household collection, but more supermarkets now provide recycling collection points for these.

Yes! All the plastic we use to package our yogs and pots are completely BPA-free.
