Method:

Whisk together the water, lemon, sugar, starch, cinnamon and salt in a medium saucepan. Then add the apples and berries and bring to a simmer. Cook over a low heat for 15 minutes until the apples and tender.

While the apples are cooking, place the remaining crumb ingredients in a mixing bowl and rub the flour into the butter using your hands. You should be left with a crumb-like texture.

Once the berry mixture is cooked, pour it into an oven-safe dish then sprinkle the crumb over the top.

Place in the oven to cook at 180 degrees for 40 minutes and the top is golden brown.
