METHOD

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees and line a muffin tray with cupcake liners.

Place all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir with a whisk to combine and remove any clumps. Then add all remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly until well combined.

Evenly distribute cupcake batter into the cupcake liners and place in the oven to bake for 18-20 minutes (until a skewer comes out clean). Remove from the oven and set aside to cool.

Once completely cool, spoon the Chocolate Orange Cups onto the cupcakes for a delicious topping or follow the below instructions for a pipeable frosting.

Frosting: Combine 2 Chocolate Orange Cups, cocoa powder and icing sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater on full speed, until you're left with a slightly softer frosting. Place in the fridge to thicken for at least 20 minutes before stirring and transferring to a piping bag to pipe onto the cupcakes.
